DAY 1 ARRIVE in Rome, transfer to the city centre. Lunch. Visit of the most famous places of Rome, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza del Popolo. Transfer to hotel.
DAY 2 ROM Sightseeing with your local guide starts with a visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Continue to monumental St. Peters Square and Basilica. Proceed across the Tiber for a stroll along the Via Sacra in the Roman Forum, where Roman Legions marched in triumph, and finally visit the Colosseum and hear about gladiatorial combats. Then time for independent activities. Transfer to hotel.
DAY 3 SIENA - MONTECATINI Departure from Rome, visit of medieval Siena with Piazza del Campo, the Palazzo Pubblico, Mangia Tower and the Cathedral; the city with its masterpieces by Martini, Lorenzetti and Boninsegna, with its beautiful churches and old Basilicas. Lunch. Afternoon wine tasting in the Chianti region. Transfer to hotel in Montecatini.
DAY 4 FLORENCE Guided sightseeing includes the magnificent Cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistry's "Gate of Paradise," and sculpture-studded Signoria Square. Afternoon free to relax or to find out more about Florence's artistic wealth. Transfer to hotel in Montecatini.
DAY 5 FLORENCE - FIESOLE Morning visit of Uffizi Museums. Lunch. Afternoon visit of Fiesole. This fine, ancient hilltop town, redolent with art and history, overlooks the Florentine valley between the Arno and the Mugnone rivers. Transfer to hotel in Montecatini.
DAY 6 PADUA - LIDO DI JESOLO Departure from Montecatini. Stop in Padua and visit of the city with lunch. Starting at the Basilica del Santo, it proceeds to visit the most beautiful churches in the city that hold Gothic and Renaissance masterpieces. Then, the Chapel of the Scrovegni: just 15 minutes to admire the mature Giotto's frescoes, from his peak period. Then the old town, the magnificent heart of the city, from Palazzo della Ragione to Casa di Ezzelino. Transfer to hotel in Lido di Jesolo.
DAY 7 VENICE Boat transfer to Venice. Magical town for excellence, Venetia is presented like a fascinating net of streets and canals, a game of land and water inciting to capture and discover elegant palaces and impressive churches, the glamour of Canal Grande and Rialto Bridge, the museum's rich pieces and the brightness of its art works, between exquisite tastes of dishes available. Guided tour with local guide. Lunch. Later discover Venice at your own pace or take an optional gondola ride. Transfer to hotel in Lido di Jesolo.
DAY 8 VERONA - LAKE GARDA Departure to Verona. The old hearth of Romeo and Juliet town beats between BrÓ square, Delle Erbe square and Dei Signori square, symbols of a grand past among Roman monuments or castles and medieval buildings, traces of the power of the Della Scala Lords. Guided tour and lunch in Verona. Transfer to hotel at Garda lake.
DAY 9 SIRMIONE This is a small spa town stretching along a narrow peninsula which juts out from the southern shoreline of Lake Garda. Sirmione was founded by the Romans, who were attracted by the beauty of the locality. The centre of Sirmione itself, however, dates back to the medieval period: visitors to the town have to pass the Rocca Scaligera, a castle which seems to rise out of the lake and was built in the 13th c. by Mastino della Scala; the poet Dante Alighieri also lived here at one time. Lunch. Afternoon tour of the lake with tasting of local products in a farmhouse. Transfer to hotel at Garda lake.
DAY 10 DEPARTURE from Milano.
